Eat Out to Help Out: 15 Sheffield pubs, cafés and restaurants where you can get up to half price off meals

If you haven’t eaten out since lockdown restrictions were eased, this new scheme might just persuade you to do so – at least, that’s what the Government is hoping.

The state-backed Eat Out to Help Out initiative runs throughout August, and is designed to give the struggling hospitality industry a shot in the arm while encouraging people to venture out to pubs, cafés and restaurants again.

It gives customers 50 per cent off their bills for food and non-alcoholic drinks, up to a maximum of £10 off per person, every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Food and drink must be consumed on the premises, not taken away, and businesses can claim the cost of the discount back from HMRC.

The Government website – https://www.tax.service.gov.uk/eat-out-to-help-out/find-a-restaurant – has a list of registered venues that diners can narrow down by entering their postcode; here are 15 of the best in Sheffield.
