"Build your own" Easter eggs with Sheffield chocolatier in delicious flavours chosen by fans

An award-winning Sheffield chocolatier is set to bring back its popular “build your own” Easter eggs, in a selection of scrumptious flavours picked by fans.

When Bullion Craft Chocolate, which creates luxury treats from cocoa beans at its factory in Neepsend, first introducted the customised festive sweet treat last year, they sold out within five hours.

The firm is to sell the unique mix-and-match Easter eggs again this year, to the delight of chocolate lovers in Sheffield and beyond.

Bullion founder Max Scotford said: “It was the first time we’ve ever launched an egg concept at Bullion. Partly because we had to adapt in response to Covid.

"But I’m so glad we did, they’ve gone down a treat and are 100 per cent here to stay!”.

In addition to the four flavours of salted caramel; orange caramel; coffee caramel and praline that proved popular last year, Bullion are also introducing two others of sticky toffee pudding inspired egg, along with maple and pecan, after putting it to a public vote.

The chocolate makers asked for Easter Egg filling suggestions on their social media and selected 10 of their favourites before putting it to a vote on Instagram.

People were able to vote yes or no on options including cherry Bakewell, Japanese miso, Yorkshire Tea and banoffee amongst other flavours.

Bullion, who have won prizes at the Academy of Chocolate Awards, is now accepting pre-orders via their website at www.bullionchocolate.com

Customers have the option to pre-order their mix and match eggs, to be dispatched the week commencing March 22, ahead of Easter Sunday on April 4.

The firm’s products have been stocked in Harvey Nichols and were also featured in style bible Vogue.
