Big name outdoors store in Meadowhall reopens with giveaways and 15% discount
Blacks has reopened its Meadowhall store
Outdoor retailer Blacks has reopened its refurbished Meadowhall store.
Blacks was founded in 1861 and offers a curated range of clothing, footwear and equipment designed for both city life and outdoor adventure.

The updated store at Meadowhall Shopping Centre in Sheffield has undergone a full refit, introducing a new layout, refreshed interiors and an expanded focus on premium outdoor brands and technical products.
The 2,239-square-foot space will stock brands including Rab, The North Face, Berghaus, Salomon and Fjällräven, with Blacks saying the relaunch is part of a wider update to selected UK stores in 2026.
To mark the reopening, the store will host a launch evening on Friday 22 May featuring giveaways, refreshments and access to the new product ranges.
There will also be a live DJ playing at the store and a one-night-only 15% discount.

A community hike in partnership with Berghaus will follow on Saturday 23 May.
Attendance for both events will be ticketed, with limited places available. Customers are required to secure their place in advance via Eventbrite: Register interest
Jonny Lodge, Regional Manager for Blacks Meadowhall, said:
“The reopening of our Meadowhall store is a huge moment for the team and the local outdoor community.
“The refreshed space allows us to showcase a more considered product edit, bringing together brands and pieces we truly believe in, while creating an environment where customers can take their time, explore the range and get expert advice from the team.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming both new and existing customers into the store and bringing people together through our launch event and community hike.”
