All change at Sheffield Station as plans drawn up to alter well known platform cafe site
Planning application sent to Sheffield Council
Plans have been drawn up to refurbish one of the cafes on the platforms of Sheffield railway station.
The plans are as part of a rebranding of the existing Coffee Room site, on platform 6a and 8a, into a to a Cafe Local.

The alternations have been sent to Sheffield Council for planning permission, because the railway station is a Grade II listed building.
A report as part of the application says: “The design has been carefully developed to ensure that interventions are sympathetic, reversible where possible, and do not harm the significance of the listed building.”
They say it will provide an attractive, comfortable, and safe environment for travellers and staff.
