Made in Sheffield connections are paying off for Advanced Manufacturing Park-based Fripp Design and Research.
When Fripp came with an innovative new way of displaying table numbers and special offers for restaurants and bars it tapped in to the expertise of fellow members of the Made in Sheffield organisation to turn its ideas into reality.
Fripp’s idea was to replace traditional numbers – known as table flags – with a shaped piece of polypropylene on which messages, as well as the table number, could be printed.
The polypropylene is folded over, to display the information on both sides, and held in place using a laser cut ring, made of Sheffield steel.
That’s where fellow Made in Sheffield member, The Laser Cutting Company, came in.
Fripp Design and Research director, Sue Roberts, said: “We wanted to give restaurateurs the opportunity to maximise their revenue opportunity with customers.”
