AWARD winning Sheffield architectural design company Coda Studios has been commissioned to work on the multi-million pound refurbishment of Ramada’s hotel in Hemel Hempstead, near London.
Coda will create a master plan for the redevelopment which includes creating a new space for weddings and events, offices and dining and reception areas.
Managing director David Cross said: “This is another important project for Coda. Although this is a modern hotel, the site forms part of a scheduled ancient monument with a Grade 2 listed structure and from a historical perspective, the challenge for us will be designing something in keeping with the surroundings.”
The project will be the second that Coda has carried out for Ramada’s parent group, Icon Hotels.
