Sheffield-based specialist healthcare surveyors, GP Surveyors, reckons to have saved doctors £8.5 million over the last three years.

The NHS pays doctors who own their own surgery a sum equal to the rent they would have to pay for it on the open market, but frequently underestimates the value, leaving GPs out of pocket, says Ecclesall Road based GP Surveyors, which reckons to have increased the notional rent for GPs it has worked with by eight per cent on average.
