Changes to a series of bus services across South Yorkshire will come into force later this month.
From Saturday, January 24, Stagecoach is making alterations to services across the network.
Late-evening weekday trips and early-morning journeys on the 265 service between Sheffield and Barnsley are to be operated by TM Travel instead of Stagecoach, funded by South Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive. There will be some minor timetable changes but the span of operation will remain the same.
There will be a revised route on the SL3 Crystal Peaks – Killamarsh Supertram link service to additionally serve Asda Drakehouse.
Timetable revisions are also being made to the 122 (Holbrook – Sheffield - Royal Hallamshire Hospital) and 123 (Crystal Peaks – Woodhouse - Sheffield), 79/79A (Chapeltown – Sheffield - Batemoor) and 35A (Chapeltown – Thorncliffe Industrial Estate) services.
In Barnsley and the Dearne Valley, Stagecoach’s new service X20 will operate between Barnsley and Doncaster, running every hour Mondays to Saturdays.
On the X19 Barnsley – Robin Hood Airport, there will be additional journeys from Doncaster to Barnsley at 9.54pm Mondays to Fridays and at 6.54pm and 7.54pm on Saturdays.
The 3.14pm Barnsley to Gilroyd and 3.33pm return journeys on service 22 will operate during term time as well as school holidays.
