South Yorkshire care homes group Horizon has unveiled plans to create 100 new jobs.

The company, which has two homes in Dinnington and one in Sheffield, is looking for staff ranging from nurses to cleaners.

It also wants physiotherapists, occupational therapists and therapy assistants as part of a drive to introduce rehabilitation to the services it offers.

Managing director Laura Higginbottom said: “The opening of Anston Brook and expansion at our other sites mean that we need to recruit a large number of new staff members.”

Horizon was set up by the Higginbottoms as a result of their experience when one of the family suffering from Alzheimer’s needed full time care. Laura Higginbottom says Horizon is extremely proud of being local and family run and is keen to boost the local economy by providing employment for people from across the region.

“Our staff team make a real difference when someone is choosing a place to live and that is why we dedicate so much to selecting and training the right people,” she adds
