Car dealers taken over

Dixons hit financial problems in July and administrators from BDO Stoy Hayward were appointed to take over running the Doncaster-based group.

The administrators sold 19 dealerships to Pendragon and closed the remaining 27 sites.

Business restructuring partner Graham Newton said: “Since our appointment, we carried out a business review and have held discussions with all of the car manufacturers to try to secure the future of the dealerships and realise as much of the company assets for the benefit of all creditors.

“All customers who had placed orders and subsequently submitted deposit claim forms have been contacted by the administrators to inform of them of the process. It is our intention that all deposits will be paid back in full to all customers.”
