Access UK, the business management and accounting software company with offices in Chapeltown, has secured a £50 million investment from Lyceum Capital to boost its growth.

The £28m-turnover business is based in Colchester and employs 33 people at its office in the Newton Business Centre, on the Thorncliffe Park industrial estate.

The Lyceum investment will be used to acquire the stakes previously held by founder Alistair O’Reilly and a number of other shareholders and to fund rapid organic growth, the acquisition of complementary software products and product development, including Access’ Software as a Service capabilities.
