The idea began with family-run Chesterfield manufacturer, Hutchinson’s PVC Solutions Ltd, Darren and Luke Hutchinson decided that they could not sit back and do nothing while health care workers struggle to get suitable PPE.

Hutchinson’s, which makes heavy duty curtains for spray booths and workshops, has set up a new production line in response a shortage in the NHS. It is supported by Chesterfield businesses - One to One Support Services, Peak 4x4 Response and Autosupplies Chesterfield Ltd.

Darren Hutchinson, managing director of Hutchinson’s PVC Solutions, said: “It is an honour and a privilege to be able to support our health care workers who are sacrificing so much to look after us all. “We are also incredibly grateful for the generosity of the people in the community and the businesses that have partnered with us on this.”

A collection option is also available to those who are able to do so safely, following current Government guidelines.
