A SHEFFIELD branch of clothing retailer D2 Jeans which has gone into administration is among 28 of the company’s stores which remain open as going concerns.
D2 has a store at Crystal Peaks shopping centre.
Nationally, 19 of its shops have already closed and 200 staff made redundant.
Administrators BDO are seeking a buyer for parts or all of the remaining business, including the Crystal Peaks store, in the hope of saving the jobs of hundreds more employees.
James Stephen, one of the administrators, said: “It is unfortunate that the economic climate and extremely difficult trading conditions have affected the retail sector.
“However, we are hopeful of securing a sale of all or part of the D2 business as a going concern.”
