Sheffield construction group JF Finnegan has started work on a £4 million project to build a material recycling facility for Impetus Waste Management in Billingham, Stockton on Tees.

Finnegan’s design team was brought in by Impetus during the pre-construction phase, which means work on the 90,000 sq ft can be completed in May.

Construction group managing director Gary Smith said: “Our early involvement in this project focused on determining our client’s exact requirements in order to create a bespoke facility that enabled efficient business operations.

“This is the type of scheme that we thrive on, a hands-on design and build contract that needed to be developed very quickly for our client, in order to meet their operational requirements.”

The new contract is the latest in a series for the Ecclesall Road-based business.
