COUNCILLORS have backed planning permission for the proposed Robin Hood Airport link road.

Doncaster Council’s planning committee this afternoon unanimously approved the scheme which will mean Robin Hood Airport will now be less than 10 minutes drive from the M18.
Now work is expected to start on the Finningley and Rossington Relief Route Scheme in August, with what council officers describe as minor details regarding flood prevention and transport modelling expected to be sorted out in the next two weeks.
A contractor is expected to be appointed to the scheme in the next few days.
