Business owners in Yorkshire are spreading themselves too thin by taking on so many different roles within their own company, according to research by invoice finance specialist Bibby Financial Services.

The survey found four out of five business owners get involved in buying office supplies, three out of five regularly collect or make deliveries and a similar proportion help out with the cleaning.

Mark Storey, Bibby Financial Services’ spokesperson for Yorkshire, said: “This research shows that business owners and managers in the region may be taking on too much in chasing customers payments, dealing with suppliers and securing funding, in addition to their many other duties.”
