Bodycare announces return to The Moor with 'live broadcast studios & creator spaces' following 2025 collapse
The budget beauty retailer is back with a big digital rebrand
Budget beauty retailer Bodycare will return to its original home on The Moor nine months after closing down.
And this time, the store is pushing shelves aside to make way for “digital screens, demonstration zones and creator spaces” as it seeks to draw in a new crowd.

Bodycare collapsed into administration in September 2025, with the loss of 32 stores and 450 jobs nationwide.
But the retailer was snapped up by a new entity headed by The Body Shop’s former CEO Charles Denton, with a relaunch now in the works.
The revival was announced on The Moor’s official Facebook page in a post, saying: “Bodycare, the value health and beauty retailer, is making its return to the high street - and we're thrilled that The Moor Sheffield will be the first out of six new stores to open.
“Shoppers can look forward to a brand-new ‘Bodycare Studio’ format, including in-store demonstration zones, feature screens, live broadcast studios and creator spaces as part of a wider digital-first strategy.
“An official opening date is coming soon - stay tuned for further details as we look forward to welcoming customers back!”

In fact, Bodycare’s original sign is still in place above the empty store, with the windows now decorated with vinyl stickers announcing the return of ‘Bodycare+’.
Six other locations are expected nationwide, ahead of a planned wider rollout of more than 200 stores across the country. A further 19 openings are planned before the end of 2026.
The relaunched business is introducing a format called “Bodycare Studio” across its first 25 stores, starting with Sheffield.
Business publication Retail Insight Network reports: “The concept blends in-store retail with experiential features, including demonstration zones, digital screens, live broadcast studios and dedicated creator spaces, alongside a broader focus on local community engagement and operational improvement.”
It could help to restore life to the row of shops on The Moor, which following several quickfire closures was left almost entirely empty.
In 2025, The Entertainer, Bodycare and accessory brand Claire’s all shut, while gift shop Cardzone has now had closing down sale signs up for over six months.
The return of Bodycare and the arrival budget beauty competitor Savers in November 2025 should restore some colour and footfall to the high street.
