Sheffield arts and performance venue, The Blue Shed, has been chosen to host The Yorkshire and Humber China Business Awards.

The event is designed to celebrate trade and links between the Yorkshire and Humber region and China.

It will include a visit by Mr Ni Jian, Consul General of the Chinese Consulate-General in Manchester, and a speech by business consultant Thomas Chan, the first Mayor in Britain to come from a Chinese background and the first advisor to the Coalition Government on UK-China trade.

Brightside Lane-based Blue Shed has designed a contemporary Chinatown setting for the event with assistance from Sheffield University’s Chinese Students and Scholars Association.
