Safety critical valves made in Sheffield have been chosen for one of the world’s first floating liquid natural gas storage units to be built from new.

President Engineering Group subsidiary Bestobell Valves has supplied South Korean shipbuilding company DSME with cryogenic valves for the first of the storage units– known as FRSUs – as part of a $500,000 deal.

President managing director Mark Henley said: “It is fantastic that one of the world’s first FSRUs will be fitted with our valves.

“We see major growth opportunities for supplying our valves for Floating LNG facilities and it is exciting to be further developing our business relationship with one of the world’s largest shipbuilding companies.”
