HIT: CLARINS INSTANT SMOOTH PERFECTING TOUCH, £26, HOUSE OF FRASER
I love this Clarins primer. Otherwise known as ‘polyfiller’, it’s absolutely amazing at disguising the post-forties wrinkles. It glides on,filling in and smoothing away lines.
MISS: MAD MORANGE LIPSTICK, £15, DEBENHAMS
I’ve found, though trial and error, that I hate coral-coloured lipstick because it’s really another name for orange. I’ve never seen a fair complexion girl look good in this colour - and that includes me.
TANGLE TEASER, £12.99, www.tangleteaser.com
The Tangle Teaser, invented by a hairdresser, really does work. The bristles feel almost too short to be effective, but breeze through hair in seconds (even my post-shampoo tangle) thanks to the way they are set out. This compact styler version is designed for restyling on the go and is great for backcombing in a bit of root lift. The removable cover protects teeth from handbag fluff.
