Beauty File: Cocktails that make scents

Have your say

Floral or fruity, what’s your preference? ARK’s Bath & Body Oils come in three scents - Living, Loving and Lounging - and each is infused with a heavenly aromatic cocktail. Quickly absorbed into the skin, they can be used in the bath, shower or as a leave-on body oil and cost £24 at the ARK counter in House of Fraser.

Dannii Minogue is a fan of the Loving range - a blend of rose, jasmine and orange flower with a hint of mandarin, lemon and patchouli- and burned the Loving candle in her X-Factor dressing room.

Concealer can’t hide its quality

It’s being billed as the creme de la creme of concealers. And at £46, it ought to be.

Creme de la Mer’s new Radiant Concealer lives up to its claim, though. It’s creamy enough to glide onto skin without dragging - especially important under eyes - yet thanks to its cream-to-powder formula, once in place, it stays there, rather than melting and settling into fine lines the way some concealers do.

The light coverage appears to magic away dark circles, mottled patches and blemishes. Apply it with its own little brush.

Tourmaline and malachite gemstones have been added to diffuse light and trick the eye, while marine and plant extracts reduce the appearance of puffiness. With regular use, chamomile extract and an Asian mushroom extract calm and soothe the look of skin.

In Ivory, Beige and Natural Warm, it’s available at House of Fraser in Meadowhall.
