A health and safety specialist, based in Dinnington, is expanding into the South of England.

Hydro-X Water Treatment is creating new jobs and expects to increase turnover by almost £1 million over the next 18 months.

The company provides water and air treatment services to major businesses across the UK.

It specialises in inspecting and maintaining equipment that uses water, including cooling towers and steam boilers, and maintaining safe water supplies for commercial applications.

Customers include the NHS, energy companies and national retailers.

Hydro-X celebrates its 30th birthday next year and has doubled in size over the past four years . It says it is now on target to reach a turnover of £6 million.

The firm is setting up a new southern headquarters in Hertfordshire with the help of a loan from the Government-backed Funding for Lending Scheme, provided by Lloyds TSB Commercial Banking. The company is also ramping up its energy management services.

Marketing manager Paul Wilson said: “We’ve had a satellite office servicing the southern region for many years, but due to the dramatic growth we’ve had in the south it made sense to establish a permanent presence here and one with space for our technicians and engineers to operate out of over a wider area.

“The support from Lloyds TSB Commercial Banking has been an immense help in securing the new site, and we look forward to building upon this growth in the coming year, and possibly opening other regional bases in the near future.”

Ben Kimball, from Lloyds said: “The FLS is ideal for businesses like Hydro-X Water Treatment.”
