Five Sky-Houses sold immediately after the rules were changed earlier this month, according to CODA.

It takes the total number sold to 30, of a planned 44 at Waverley on the former Orgreave Coking Works site near the Parkway.

The first 22 are all built and sold. Twenty two more are under construction, of which eight are sold, the company says.

The houses are two-bed back-to-backs with a roof garden. Prices start at £183,000.

Buiding work has continued over the past three months, complying with social distancing regulations, according to CODA chairman David Cross.

He added: "To say we have been overwhelmed by the response to Sky-House over the past few weeks would be an understatement. Even with the lockdown, there has been no decline in interest.”

The development is part of a project funded by Homes England's Home Building Fund.

"We are particularly pleased that we are now talking to Rotherham Council and Harworth Group about the second phase of Waverley," David said.

It is set to comprise 44 three and four-bedroom houses.

The company’s pipeline for 2021 includes four locations and almost 150 homes, he added.
