THE parent company of Sheffield-to-London rail company East Midlands Trains has scored highly at the annual Community Rail Awards.
Stagecoach received nine awards for projects involving EMT and sister company South West Trains.
East Midlands’ winning schemes included its ‘Get on track for great school trips’ project to encourage schoolchildren to try the train.
The team also picked up a second-place award for the marketing of the same project, and a third place for best marketing publication for its ‘Where will you go tonight?’ promotional leaflet promoting special summer evening train fares.
Steven Stewart, Stagecoach Group spokesman, said: “These awards are an endorsement of hard work of the many dedicated people.”
