Advanced Manufacturing Park-based engineering design and consultancy company Eadon Consulting is targeting further expansion after completing its fourth move within the AMP Technology Centre and taking on more staff.

The company was founded six years ago by James Hill, David Price and Michael Thorogood, with the aim of creating a fresh approach to engineering design and consultancy.

Since its launch, Eadon has grown to employ 14 staff, working on projects involving waterways, flood defences, renewable energy, moveable structures and bridges, for clients spanning the world from Sweden to New Zealand.

More recently it has capitalised on its skills and capabilities to break into new areas, including offshore handling and the nuclear sector, for which it has designed bespoke lifting equipment.

Eadon has also worked in the aerospace sector, designing a platform to help to move satellites three metres high and weighing up to 3.5 tonnes around a clean room while they were being manufactured.
