Sumo Group, which employs 650, is projected to increase staff by 15 per cent in the next 12 months.
The firm has hired talent acquisition manager, Kieran Holland, to spearhead the project.
He has worked in recruitment at companies including Amazon and BP.
Kieran will support the growth of Sumo’s nine studios in the UK, India and Canada, including City Studios, The Chinese Room, Red Kite Games and Atomhawk.
It comes after head count increased by 21 per cent in 2018 after a year of “substantial growth in revenue and profitability.”
Adjusted revenue rose 36 per cent to £39m in 2018 while the adjusted EBITDA – a measure of profit – rose by 24.6 per cent to £10.4m.

The firm creates and designs games for global companies including Microsoft, Apple, SEGA, WB Games and Bethesda.
Projects include the recently-released Team Sonic Racing (SEGA), two in-development projects for Apple Arcade, and art for Mortal Kombat 11 (WB Games / NetherRealm) and Minecraft Earth (Microsoft).
