Hide AdEzra Winterbottom, a Level 3 student, said: “The charity week put a fun twist on doing a fundraiser. It was amazing to see that people could still come together to do something good for the community and it taught me that no matter what the circumstances, everybody can contribute and make a change.”
Laura Wood, Public Services Course Leader at Barnsley College, added: “It is imperative in such a challenging and struggling time that we, as a community, come together to support each other in times of crisis. Never before have we faced such a crisis that has affected every aspect of our lives, however, together we will overcome this situation and sooner rather than later we can get back to some normality in our community.
“Furthermore, we would like to give a special thanks, to the local businesses and organisations that supported our charity week offering raffle prizes, including Honeywell Sports Village, Starbucks at Rockingham Barnsley, Sheffield Wednesday Football Club and Sandersons Boutique Store.”
