Barnsley venue The Civic hosts Tex Mex band Los Pacaminos

On January 11, there’s an evening of high-quality music performed by Oliver Harris together with his many friends. The show is a celebration of Barnsley’s young talent and is an annual event.

On January 24, the band Los Pacaminos features Paul Young, Drew Barfield, Mark Pinder, Steve Greetham, Jamie Moses and Melvin Duffy. The band play Tex Mex border music, from The Texas Tornadoes and Ry Cooder to Los Lobos and Roy Orbsion.

The organisers say: “This is a tequila-fuelled Tex Mex party night, as each venue becomes the perfect cantina setting for a great night's rocking with the cactus-sharp, tequila-filled, stetson-wearing, magnificent six, Los Pacaminos!”
