Stand Up Comedy competition Gong Wrong returns to Barnsley Comedy Club
Popular comedy competition Gong Wrong is back at Barnsley Comedy Club this Saturday Night, as Barnsley’s only purpose-built Comedy Club again launches it’s quest to find the best up-and-coming stand up comedians in the north.
Gong Wrong isn’t your standard comedy show - the winner is decided by the audience on the night by an enthusiastic audience of comedy fans. Each act does their best 10 minutes, and it’s decided at the end of their set if they are the best act of the night - or if they'll be gonged off and have to leave immediately!
The standard will be high. You could see the next big thing. Or you could see a middle aged man having a breakdown. Expect a night of chaos and laughter.
Andy Mitchell the MC at Barnsley Comedy Club, said of the event “The last night sold out, it was wild! The atmosphere was electric!”
Barnsley Comedy Club is Barnsley’s only purpose-built Comedy Club, and can be found to the rear of Soho Social (16-18 Shambles Street) in Barnsley Town Centre - S70 2SW.
