The new film is set around 30 years after events of the 1983 classic, Return of the Jedi and will see the return of fan favourites Han Solo (Harrison Ford), Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher) and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).

South Yorkshire film fans will hopefully get an extra special treat after Cineworld in Sheffield announced earlier this week that it is to become only the second place in the country to house a 4DX screen.

The new 140-seat screen will include high-tech motion seats and special effects such as wind, fog, bubbles, water, rain and scents, perfect for blockbusters like Star Wars. It will open in Sheffield on October 22.

More than 200 recent films have been adapted to be shown in 4DX, although there has been no announcement that Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens will be available in the format.
