Everybody’s Talking About Jamie is based on the real life of Jamie Campbell, who is at Sheffield’s pink carpet premiere with his mother.
He told The Star that he has recently moved to Sheffield. Talking about the art of drag, he said: “How come when we become adults we stop dressing up?”

Actor Max Harwood who plays the film’s protagonist Jamie New said: “Through drag you can learn to be a creative and learn to express yourself without boundaries.”

Mark Herbert is an English film producer and joint CEO of the Sheffield-based production company Warp Films.
He said: “It’s a great city full of joy and that’s what we want to show.”

6.00pm - Premiere unaffected by police incident on Sheffield High street this afternoon
The premiere has not been affected by the news that a man has been fatally injured in Sheffield city centre this afternoon.
Police were called at around 4:30pm this afternoon (17 September) to reports that a man was stabbed in High Street, suffering serious injuries.
Officers attended the scene and arrested a man in his 30s.
The victim was taken to hospital via an ambulance, but sadly passed away at around 5.15pm.
