The city featured prominently in the last series, as Jodie Whittaker took over as Time Lord, but has been seen less frequently so far in series 12.

However, several scenes from episode 7, titled Can You Hear Me?, which aired on Sunday night, will have been familiar to Sheffielders.

Much of the action took place at Park Hill flats and landmarks from the Crucible theatre to Sheffield Cathedral were also visible.
