Crafty youngsters from Reignhead Primary School in Beighton had a fun day making bird boxes which they used to improve the appearance of their community.
Pupils used pre-cut parts from the Sheffield Landscape Trust to make the boxes and the event was funded as part of the £60, 000 18-month Waterthorpe and Ochre Dyke Wildflower Corridor Project.
The students, pictured above, seeded the boxes in a nearby meadow.
