United have released a statement confirming that the academy has been shut down until the end of the month and that there will be no visits to the training ground by supporters and “all non-essential business”.
It is understood that the first team squad will continue to train at their Shirecliffe base during this time.
On tickets bought for the two postponed matches, the club added: “All match tickets and hospitality packages for the Emirates FA Cup tie against Arsenal will remain valid for the rearranged fixture, as will tickets for the Premier League game against Newcastle United at St James' Park. Until the two postponed fixtures are rescheduled, supporters are advised that refunds will not be available, with tickets for the last eight clash against the Gunners now temporarily off sale.”
