The Frenchman made his long-awaited return from injury on Saturday at West Brom.
Described in the build-up by boss Chris Wilder as "a gamechanger", Mousset had the chance to do just that in injury time when Rhian Brewster's shot fell to him about three yards out.

Hide AdBut Mousset put the ball over the bar and United lost 1-0, keeping them rooted to the bottom of the league table.
"Moose scares defenders," Basham said.
"When you're up against a striker that scares you you know if you make a bad decision in that split-second then they're in.
"Moose created some great opportunities, he missed one at the death that he'd normally take but it's great to have him back.
"He's a fresh face, a fresh talent and it's nice to see Rhian come on tonight and do what he did as well."
