Shirecliffe Road crash Sheffield: Road closed after multivehicle collision

Police were called to the scene at around 6.30pm tonight, after the crash which left Longley Ave West and Shirecliffe Road blocked while emergency services dealt with the aftermath.

Buses were also diverted because of the incident, sent along Herries Road in both directions.

South Yorkshire Police tonight confirmed the road closure had been due to a car crash.

A spokesman said three cars were involved in the crash – but no one had suffered serious injuries.

She said the road was blocked while recovery took place. Bus services are now back to normal
