The Sheffield Tap will be reopening its doors to the public from July 4 – this will be the first time customers have been allowed back in to the boozer since they were ordered to close as part of coronavirus lockdown measures.
It comes after Prime Minister Boris Johnson gave pubs, restaurants and cafes the green light to open again from next month, as the government enters the next phase of new lockdown easing plans which enables more hospitality businesses to reopen.

“Although we won't be back to normal for some time yet, we will be implementing the following points in line with current advice.

The pub will only be offering visitors table service and providing staff with ‘extended cleaning practices’ to keep the premises safe.
The Sheffield Tap also mentioned they hope to launch a smartphone app to allow people to order remotely, which would help customers keep a social distance from servers.
