These lucky winners visited The Star's newsroom - after winning a contest which asked them to write their own newspaper front page.
Organised by the Sheffield Libraries' children's service the two girls - Jessica Martin aged 12, and Niamh Grace, nine - came out on top with front pages that had pictures and news and sport stories.
They visited The Star's York Street offices to see how a real front page is produced - and then they went to the company's production centre at Dinnington where they saw papers being printed.
Claire South, from Sheffield Libraries, said: "The winners had a great day out. Their front pages were judged the best from the many entries we received in the competition, which was organised as part of our celebrations to mark the National Year of Reading."
