SUMMER FUN: Build your own rocket launcher at Magna

Summer at Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham continues this week with workshops on the theme of volcanoes.
Visitors can get hands-on experience building up a lava flow and making their own eruptions.

The workshop is the third of a changing six week hands-on experience programme.

The workshops will take place Monday-Friday, 1.00pm–4.00pm and are in
cluded in the admission price.

Can you guess which way the lava will flow?

The opportunity to ride the Zip Wire continues throughout the week at Magna and experience the forces and motion as you slide down the cable (Height restrictions apply*).

A charge of £3.00 is payable if visitors wish to experience this activity.

The kids will be entertained at Sci-Tek, Magna's Hi-Tek Science and Technology Playground and Aqua-Tek, the outdoor water play area.

You will also be able to continue the fun into the evening on Thursdays, Magna are hosting Summer BBQ's which will take place every Thursday during the 6 week holidays 6.00pm to 9.00pm with access to our bar and refreshments available. But check before you leave set out because it may have to be cancelled in the case of bad weather.

Next week, make your own rocket launcher in week four's workshops on the theme of Air rocket launchers.

Have fun learning about forces, energy and launch your rocket further than your family and friends.

The workshop is the fourth of a changing six week hands-on experience programme additional to the normal attraction which offers a unique experience to get involved in science.

The workshops will take place Monday-Friday 1.00pm–4.00pm and are included in the admission price.
