PUPILS from a Sheffield primary school got a taste of life in government during a visit to Westminster.
The youngsters from St Mary's Primary School in High Green toured the House of Lords and House of Commons – even standing at the dispatch boxes and debating policy.

After the tour they met Hillsborough MP Angela Smith and quizzed her about her role, then headed off for some sightseeing before returning to High Green.

Ms Smith said: "It's so important children learn about our democratic system and visiting Westminster is an ideal way to do just that."
