BEIJING may be miles from Sheffield - but a host of Olympic-themed activities for children and teenagers are taking place at city sport centres this summer.
The school holiday events are being organised at Ponds Forge, Hillsborough Leisure Centre and Concord Sports Centre in Shiregreen.

Training camps are on offer for sports including trampolining, diving, football, basketball and self-defence. Camps will also run at the English Institute of Sport and Don Valley Stadium, both in Attercliffe. Cooler activities are on offer at iceSheffield.

Young children aged five to seven can attend fun sports sessions at Hillsborough Leisure Centre and Concord Sports Centre. Call 0114 223 3856 for details.
