WANNABE journalists got a taste of life as reporters when they took on a series of tasks in a News Hound Day challenge.
Pupils from 12 primary and secondary schools in Rotherham took part in the event, organised as part of the cub reporters and student journalist projects at the town's College of Arts and Technology.

Each team had to interview a local celebrity, come up with a news story, arrange a suitable photo and then produce a finished newspaper page in just 90 minutes.

They also took part in workshops on podcasting, radio reporting and presenting to camera, and played a session on the News Hound board game.

At the end of the day awards were presented for the best headline, best picture, best story, and best overall page.
