RANGERS are staging a packed summer of free events in South Yorkshire woods taking root on ex-colliery sites.
Circus skills and mini-beast safaris are amongst the drop-in activities on offer at Phoenix Park in Cudworth at Cudworth Common and Ferrymoor in Grimethorpe, Barnsley.

All the beauty spots are owned by the Land Restoration Trust and managed by the Forestry Commission.

To take part, youngsters should log on to www.forestry.gov.uk or call 01302 820278.
