A BUDDING Sheffield journalist is looking forward to summer with a new paddling pool, two water guns and a dartboard, thanks to The Star!
Harry Phillips, aged 12, of Millhouses, is one winner in the first round of our online Kids' Zone Write the News competition on The Star website, www.thestar.co.uk .

Harry won with a picture of an elephant that he took on a family holiday in South Africa in February and a story about his adventure.

The prize was a gift voucher of £25 for Toyworld in Meadowhall – where Harry splashed out on a large paddling pool, two water guns and a dart board.

The other winners this month were Sarah McCloskey and Holly Moore, both 12. The two Brantwood School pupils wrote a piece together about a Sheffield Music Service concert at the City Hall.

Kids' Zone – a joint initiative between The Star and Sheffield Telegraph – is continuing the search for youngsters who want to try their hand at writing a news story and seeing it published online.

This month we have games of Sheffield Monopoly to give away to two young reporters.

Kids can send us stories or photos on anything, from a write-up of a favourite holiday to details of a hobby or even a story about a pet.
