CHILDREN are being encouraged to get in fancy dress and join in the magical world of Alice at Wentworth Castle Gardens.
A theatre performance of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland will be staged on Thursday June 26 in the gardens at Stainborough, near Barnsley.

A fancy dress parade will held during the interval and winners will receive a special prize.

The gardens will be open from 5pm to allow visitors to enjoy a picnic in the grounds before the performance at 6pm or try out the new adventure Playground.

Nationally acclaimed Chapterhouse Theatre Company will be performing the play inside Stainborough Castle, the recently renovated Gothic folly in the grounds.

They will also present a performance of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream on Friday June 20 at 7.30pm.
