BUDDING business tycoons who won a Dragon's Den-style challenge have been enjoying their prize – a trip to the USA.
The team of seven girls from Sheffield's Myers Grove School came out on top in the BiG Challenge, which attracted entries from schools all over the city.
They jetted off to visit Harvard Business School, the city of Boston, attend a Boston Red Sox baseball game and other New England tourist attractions.
Starting with just £25, the girls set up a jewellery business called Bits and Boblets. They created a range of silver-plated jewellery which they sold at Hillsborough Leisure Centre, Morrisons supermarket and Direkt Hairdressers.
The enterprise was so successful, the team made a mint – donating £1,250 of their profits to St Luke's Hospice.
The business brains behind the scheme were Olivia Naylor, Olivia Hancock, Amy Hewitt, Jessica Pollard, Ellis Ridge, Evie Wilcock and Holly Young.
The Stannington secondary school is the first in the city to receive the national Excellence in Enterprise Education award.
Prizes at an awards evening were presented by real life Dragon's Den contestant Levi Roots, creator of Reggae Reggae Sauce.
