EAT hearty - and get arty. Talented children in Killamarsh made their local Harvest Festival Celebration one to remember this year by creating these fabulous vegimals.
Rev Helen Guest said the event at St. Giles Parish Church left her bowled over.

"The local school children entered into the spirit of harvest magnificently with their creative menagerie of wonderful creatures. There was tremendous response and the creatures were simply stunning," she said.

There were mice, hedgehogs, birds, sheep, snails and even snakes.

Never have sprouts, cabbages, turnips and the like looked so appealing - even veg-hating youngsters would be tempted to eat them up.

And the flower-festooned church, which resounded to music from Killamarsh Brass Band, looked pretty special too.
