A farm which rears pigs a stone’s throw from some of the Sheffield’s busiest roads and tram routes is heading for the city’s food festival.
Two thousand pigs live on Povey Farm near Norton, which has its own butchery.
Moss Valley Fine Meats supplies shops, restaurants and delicatessens in South Yorkshire and north Derbyshire.
Staff will be showing people how to make sausages and cure bacon as well as cooking demonstrations outside the Moor Market over the festival weekend.
The Food Festival is supported by Sheffield Hallam University’s Business School.
Journalism students are supporting the event for the first time this year by filming videos to tell the stories of Sheffield businesses taking part.
Students involved in the filming are Lewis Ward, Kelly Crampton. Danielle Hayden, Emma Collicott and Hannah Sanders.
