The Doncaster Little Theatre is looking for new members to come and follow in the footsteps of Sheridan Smith.
If you are interested in acting, or helping out with box office, bar, back stage please do not hesitate to contact the theatre, on King Street, Doncaster town centre,or come along to one of our open evenings.
The Young Lit Group offers the chance of professional drama tuition, taking part in plays and various types of shows – the age range is mainly from seven to 18.
Many previous pupils have now gone on to appear in television, professional theatre and award-winning films.
We desperately need anyone who is interested in acting to take part in plays, variety shows and pantomime.

The box office is open from 6pm to 8pm daily.
There will be a series of open nights.

Pop in and have a chat with our members.
Also, if you are interested in our workshops , these usually take place on some of our open nights and are a great chance to enhance your skills, learn something new and meet new people.
They happen on a monthly basis and have been designed to include something for everybody – so if you are interested come along and see what we can do for you.
Best of all, every workshop is completely free.
Our next production is Ginger Bread Man, from Tuesday-Friday, July 7-10, at 7pm, and Saturday and Sunday, July 11 and 12, at 2pm.
This is a family musical play written by David Wood and produced by Malcolm Coy – bring the children along and have a good laugh.
Please note there is car parking adjoining the theatre and concession tickets are available upon your arrival at the box office.
Also there is now easy access through the car park into Hallgate bus stops.
The theatre does have disabled facilities.
n A number of Little Theatre’s former young actors and actresses have gone on to become successful actors.
They have included the award-winning Epworth actress Sheridan Smith, who has gone on to star in high-profile television series, including Cilla and Black Work.
Another famous former Little Theatre actor is Thomas Howes, who was in Downton Abbey.
