KIDS got the chance to meet some of their favourite TV stars when the characters appeared on stage in Sheffield.

The CBBC series In The Night Garden - which stars colourful creatures with cute names Igglepiggle, Upsy Daisy and Makka Pakka - visited Meadowhall as part of a live show which brings the world of the programme to life.

The show is recreated with costumes, music, puppets and projections, and the performance takes place in a special ‘show dome’ - an inflatable theatre that seats 550 people.

In The Night Garden runs at Meadowhall until May 2, and families have the choice of seeing two shows, each with a different story.

Gemma Noble, Meadowhall’s marketing executive, said: “A lot of children around the region will be excited at the thought of meeting their favourite characters in the flesh!”

Tickets cost from £10 to £29.50. Visit www.nightgardenlive.com/sheffield/tickets.php to book or call 0844 581 1250.
